With the return of the students back to the Integration Learning Center’s (ILC) classrooms, an outdoor activity was organized on 09/07/2021 by the educators of the
HELIOS project to inform the beneficiaries about issues related to Covid-19 (e.g. self and rapid tests, vaccination).
The day started with the arrival of the students at the ILC, where after being thermometered they set off for their first stop, for a Rapid test at the KAPI (Open Elderly Protection Center)of Kilkis. The authorized personnel explained to the beneficiaries thoroughly the exact procedure and time needed to take a test and have its results. Afterward, some students chose to give a sample for examination.
The next stop was the Citizen’s Service Center (CSC aka
KEP) where students learned how to fill in a solemn declaration (in case of absence from classes due to a positive result of a Covid-19 test this document is necessary to be presented), and how to validate documents as well as show those that are needed for their identification.
Last but not least, their educational outdoor activity ended with their visit to the Inclusion Center of
OMNES association where the beneficiaries were informed by a healthcare professional about vaccination against Covid-19, about the available vaccines in Greece and the side effects that might occur.
